Meet Cara

Cara O’Donnell is a licensed clinical therapist with more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She specializes in supporting clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and the everyday stressors and challenges that can impact emotional well-being.

Cara believes therapy should be a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Her approach is compassionate, practical, and individualized, with a focus on empowering clients to build confidence, develop effective coping skills, recognize their strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Cara utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Grief Therapy. She is passionate about empowering individuals and families to navigate life’s challenges while helping clients gain the tools, confidence, and resilience needed to move forward. Cara strives to instill hope and remind her clients that positive change is possible, even during difficult seasons of life.

Cara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Marist College, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University, and a Master’s degree in Child Advocacy and Policy from Montclair State University. She is licensed to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, and New Jersey.
