What We Help With
You do not need the perfect words to begin.
Maybe you know exactly what is wrong. Maybe you only know that you have not felt like yourself. Start with what you are experiencing—we can help you explore the next step.
Start with what feels familiar
Different experiences.
A path toward support.
Explore the concerns below to learn more about common experiences and how therapy may help. You may recognize yourself in more than one place. These pages are guides, not a diagnosis.

Clinical depth.
A personal connection.
Choosing therapy is also choosing a person to trust. PCAL brings a range of professional backgrounds and approaches together, with room to consider the clinician and kind of care that fit you.
A team with range
Our team includes psychologists, clinical social workers, counselors, and marriage and family therapists. Their backgrounds span different ages, life stages, and concerns.
Approaches with purpose
Clinicians draw on approaches such as cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, family systems, and trauma-informed therapy. Methods vary by clinician and are considered in relation to your needs.
Therapy and assessment
PCAL offers therapy and psychological testing. When questions about attention, learning, or emotional functioning need closer examination, ask which service is appropriate.
Care connected to real life
Our clinicians’ experience includes parenting, relationships, grief, major transitions, and demanding professional roles—including military and first responder backgrounds.
What therapy can make room for
Understanding. Practice. Change.
Make sense of the pattern
Talk through what is happening, what brings it on, and how it affects the parts of life that matter to you.
Build useful skills
Depending on your goals, work on coping, communication, boundaries, or different ways of responding to thoughts and emotions.
Bring it into everyday life
Try manageable changes, reflect on what helps, and revisit the plan with your clinician as your needs become clearer.
